Development process
The Dogger Bank South (DBS) offshore wind farm projects are classified as Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP). This means that under the Planning Act 2008, we are required to apply for a Development Consent Order (DCO) application.
The DCO will be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate who will carefully examine the proposals. The Planning Inspectorate will then make a recommendation to the Secretary of State at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero who will make the final decision on whether to grant consent.
